Looking to grow your business this year? Check out Mastercard's resources and programs for Latina small business owners, including digital tools and resources to help you thrive in the digital world. From secure transactions, authenticate buyers, and market businesses through partnerships with vendors and actors in the ecosystem, Mastercard emphasizes the importance of supporting small businesses in the Hispanic community and highlights the campaign's focus on providing digital tools and resources to help small business owners grow and succeed.
“It's a suite of solutions that can help small businesses thrive and especially thrive in the context of the digital world, and engaging their businesses in order,” shares Luis Araujo, vice president of consumer and experiential marketing for Mastercard Latin America and the Caribbean. “We know that one of the key points that small business owners have is that they need support, they need support to gather information to navigate the system to get access to credit instruments, to finance their projects. And that's part of the whole construct of this campaign. Mastercard can not only provide these tools to the business, but also can help these small business owners connect to priceless possibilities, which is our brand essence, and it's our role as a brand in these markets.”
Mastercard believes a strong digital presence is more critical than ever for everyone’s business. With 5 million Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States contributing more than $800 billion to the American economy annually, Mastercard believes this is the time to access to financial tools, access to ways of making their businesses and lives grow and thrive. Mastercard's commitment to uplifting the Hispanic community and its love of sports are demonstrated by its sponsorship of COPA América. With its most recent campaign, Mastercard hopes to establish itself as a reliable ally to the U.S. Hispanic community.
“The Hispanic community is extremely important to us right here in the U.S.” shares Araujo, “And I think that finding ways to integrate them into activities and the way that we can work with them and be present in their lives. What better time to do so than with COPA, to actually show up with what is relevant for them - that's culturally appropriate, that makes sense.”
Mastercard has also partnered with Houston Dynamo, and Mexican soccer legend, Hector Herrera and actor, Cristóbal “Cristo” Fernández, to support Hispanic small businesses. With Mastercard, Hispanic small business owners can gain access to an array of resources, including the Mastercard Resource Hub as well as support from many of their partners. These, and many other amazing resources, are available from Mastercard to help small businesses grow and reach new heights.
“It is important to feel safe and backed up in a country that is not yours,” shares Hector Herrera. “That you have that support that you need to grow your business. Mastercard’s initiative has been good and very positive. I am grateful to be a part of this great initiative with our Latina community.”
